1. What do I need to be awarded a Sangster’s Health Centres Franchise?
A willingness to work and make money. You must first complete the “Getting Acquainted”
Application and send it to us for review. Once we have a snapshot of you and your
finances, you will be contacted by one of our Franchise Representatives.
2. How much do you charge as a Franchise Fee?
Our franchise fee is $25,000. In return, you receive exclusive access to our systems such
as manuals, training, philosophy, contract discounts and products to name a few.
3. What are royalties and do you charge any?
We charge a royalty fee which is 5% of sales and an advertising royalty which is 2% of sales.
Royalties are paid to provide you with on-going support while keeping your business
current and up-to-date by providing ongoing product information, professionally designed
advertising materials and new exclusive products. Royalties help generate the maximum
profit possible for each franchise, ensuring a financially strong company.
4. How does a Franchisee familiarize them self with the product you sell?
Before your store opens, you are required to complete and pass the Sangster’s Health
Centres Nutritional Knowledge course, certifying you as a Nutritional Consultant and our
Certified Product Advisor course along with our two-week training program in Saskatoon,
Saskatchewan.
5. What does “Exclusive” products mean?
“Exclusive” means that no competitor carries the same product/item or is allowed to sell
the same product/item. Sangster’s Health Centres carry over 340 exclusive products,
distributes over 5,000,000 exclusive sale flyers per year and provides over 100,000
Sangster’s customers with our own exclusive magazine called “Natural Living”.
6. Do you provide any training?
Staff from our Franchise Head Office are on site to help with your store’s setup and for the
opening days of your business. We provide you with hands-on knowledge, training and
assistance in getting your store off the ground. Our professional in-house advertising and
marketing team develops a Grand Opening campaign for you, plus a 12 month plan to get
your new venture up and running successfully.
As a franchisee, you undergo extensive training and are required to complete our Nutritional
Knowledge Course, certifying you as a Nutritional Consultant. Your comprehensive training
begins by covering aspects of selling, marketing, purchasing, and store operations. Our
in-depth program provides you with product knowledge that is second to none in our
industry. On-going training throughout your term will be provided to help you strengthen
and build your confidence.
7. Who looks for a location? And how is it chosen?
With our reputation, we are continually approached by major shopping centres and power
centres to place franchisees in their holdings. Our leverage allows us to offer our new
franchisees an excellent choice of locations at competitive rents.
