POH-TSX Venture Exchange), announces that Darwen Holdings, the product distribution division of Sangster’s Health Centres has been awarded a site license under The Government of Canada’s stringent new Natural Health Products Regulations (NHP).“The NHP legislation is designed to ensure the safety and efficacy of the natural health products sold to Canadian consumers. Site licensing is required to manufacture, package, label, import or distribute natural health products in Canada,” explains Raymond Takashima, Sangster’s Product Development Manager. “Only those who have proven to be in strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for storage, handling and distribution are awarded a site license under NHP regulations.”
“The awarding of this site license further strengthens customer confidence in the purity and safety of Sangster’s Health Centres products,” states Darryl Sangster, VP Business Development for Sangster’s. “It ensures both the retailer and the retail customer with the guarantee that every ingredient in Sangster’s products has passed strict quality and safety testing.”
